Gippsland Lakes Community Health (GLCH) is a not for profit organisation and is classified by the Taxation Office as a Public Benevolent. This allows GLCH to provide a range of salary packaging benefits to employees in a full or part time capacity. These arrangements include:
- Up to $15,899 per annum before tax;
- Remote Area Housing Assistance;
- Meals and entertainment expenses; and
- Notebook/Laptop Computer Benefit
GLCH scholarships provide staff with opportunities to further their ongoing education above and beyond that prescribed by job related training, linked professional development initiatives and Agreement conditions. Employees can gain knowledge and skills in the form of recognised qualifications, and/or experience which will assist individual, professional and organisational growth.

Flexible Employment Arrangements
Depending on the role and employment arrangement, GLCH can offer accrued days off for full time employees and flexible start and finish times.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) allows employee’s access to external qualified counsellors, when personal, family or work issues are impacting on employee’s well-being or quality of life. EAP is a completely confidential program.
In addition, GLCH provides vaccinations to eligible employees and access to onsite gym programs. GLCH supports ‘Reaching out beyond our community’ projects and currently supports staff charity to the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Tabitha Foundation.
