This clinic is run by a registered nurse. It is an asthma education and management program based on the 3+ visit plan

Respiratory-Services

Our respiratory educator helps people who suffer from, or are at high risk of, developing a respiratory disease such as:

  • Asthma
  • Emphysema
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Allergies, such as hay fever or severe food allergy
  • Shortness of breath

We can provide a range of information and support including;

  • Understanding your illness
  • Ways to prevent or best manage your condition including healthy eating, exercise and medications
  • Learning how to use your medications/devices and monitoring treatment effectiveness.
  • Learning to recognise early warning signs
  • How to prevent complications or other health problems
  • Support with quitting smoking
  • Referrals to other relevant services and support groups

Through the Asthma Foundation Victoria, our educator also provides:

  • Community Emergency Asthma Management training for child care services, schools and the general community
  • Community Anaphylaxis Management training for child care services, schools and tertiary education.
