The Johnsonville Hall came to life yesterday when our social support team along with Opal Residential Care Facility, ACSA Group Residential Care Lakes Entrance and Bupa Residential Care in Bairnsdale connected communities at their ‘Old Time Dance’
130 people crammed into the hall for a hugely successful day of dancing and toe tapping to the fabulous Hospital Creek Bush Band. They were also treated to a dance demonstration from the Johnsonville Hall dancers; recitals from Brian Blakeman; and even a tune from a member of the audience!
"I remember when..." was echoed by many - with people sharing stories from the good old days, as dances were often where they went with their families or met their spouses.
Our social support team collected feedback from participants at the end of the day and received a 100% positive response to the dancing day out - with every one keen to do it again. Watch this space...
