We’re launching our new diabetes support group for people living with diabetes in Lakes Entrance and surrounds on Thursday 16 November at our Jemmeson Street site from 9.00am.
We are inviting local people of all ages who are living with all types of diabetes to join us and others tomorrow at our exciting new forum for sharing information and resources, creating new friendships, connections and more.
Diabetes support groups can help people better understand how to best manage their diabetes as well as understand how to live with a chronic illness in a positive and empowering environment. They also provide an opportunity meet new people and learn from others by sharing experiences and information. Many people who have diabetes have never talked to anyone else with the same condition and that can be very isolating. With that in mind, we want to build a safe, supportive and helpful space for community members living with diabetes.
Contact Sophie on 5155 8300 if you’re interested in being an important member of this group. Support people are also encouraged to attend.
