At GLCH, our priority is always serving our clients and the communities we operate in.

We seek to provide a safe environment for our clients and our team members and in times such as these, we believe it is our role and responsibility to do our best to ensure we can provide access to the services and programs people need, while doing everything we can to keep our communities and our team safe and healthy.

Today Victoria’s Premier Daniel Andrews, declared a State of Emergency for Victoria, and as such I’d like to share some of the things we are doing at GLCH to ensure everyone who visits or works with us is safe, as well as do our bit to prevent the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19.

Firstly, we are following the advice of the Australian Government and World Health Organisation and their recommendations for minimising the spread of this virus. As such, over the past few weeks we have taken a range of precautionary measures across our six locations including:

• Increasing the schedules for cleaning and sanitisation processes at our sites

• Preparing our teams to respond quickly to any emerging situation should it occur, to best ensure the health and safety of everyone involved

• Regularly updating staff with information that comes to hand, and encouraging them to take precautions to look after themselves and those close to them.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and act quickly on the advice of health authorities. This may mean you see things that look a little different at our locations, as we take additional precautions. We appreciate your patience and your support as a client and/or community member. This may include displaying instructions for visitors to follow, upon arriving at our medical clinics and/or reception areas. We ask that you follow these instructions as they are designed to preserve your health and the health of those around you.

A reminder: if you intend to visit a medical facility to assess your symptoms, please ring ahead to discuss the appropriate procedures with your clinic, as presenting at reception without prior arrangement is currently not advised.

If you have any questions about COVID-19 or are exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 please call 1800 675 398.

It’s important during these challenging times to remember to act with compassion and kindness as you take care of yourself and those around you.
