In 2009, staff members suggested supporting a charity outside of the organisations service/catchment area with personal donations, fundraising or volunteering, but as part of a GLCH team effort. Staff were surveyed for charity ideas – and one Australian (the Royal Flying Doctors Service) and one overseas charity (the Tabitha Foundation) were chosen.

Staff can make voluntary contributions to these chosen charities via automatic payroll deductions and a cheque is presented to each charity at the end of every financial year. This year (2014/15) GLCH staff donated $3286 to the RFDS and $5131 to the Tabitha Foundation. Awesome work!
