Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) will once again hold a Bravehearts White Balloon event to raise awareness of child abuse and neglect during Child Protection Week.

The event will feature a range of entertainment including antics, laughter and balloon animals by Bluey the Clown, professional face painting by Fizzy Face Children’s Entertainment, live music by Joel Wiggens (GEGAC) and Fizzy Face Children’s Entertainment, and a barbeque provided by the Lion’s Club. There will also be fruit and bottles of water for the children.

The BBQ and festivities will occur from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Tuesday 9th September, Nicholson Street Mall, Bairnsdale.

This is a free event, but any money raised will go towards Bravehearts, an organisation whose aim is to educate, empower and protect Australian kids from sexual assault.

Members of the Practitioners East Gippsland Group, i.e. Integrated Family Services Staff and Assessment and Response staff from GLCH, Families First staff (Anglicare), Bairnsdale Child Protection Staff, and Integrated Family Services Staff from GEGAC will be on hand to provide activities for children, and will also have show bags and service brochures available.

Should you require assistance, please contact: Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault on 1800 806 292.
