At Gippsland Lakes Complete Health, we want everyone to feel safe, welcomed, respected and valued.
Belonging and respect are at the heart of how we work with our communities, clients, volunteers and each other. We recognise that people come from many different backgrounds, cultures, identities and life experiences, and we are committed to creating inclusive, culturally safe and accessible services for everyone.
This page brings together some of our key statements, commitments and information relating to inclusion, diversity, cultural safety, child safety and respect. It reflects our ongoing commitment to listening, learning and creating environments where people feel seen, heard and supported to live well
Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which we live and work. We celebrate the diversity, resilience, and continuing cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Child Safety
GLCH is a Child Safe Organisation. We are committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children, with zero tolerance for child abuse, racism or bullying.
All children and young people who attend our services have a right to feel and be safe. This includes children and young people with Aboriginal and culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, disability, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex identities, and those who cannot live at home.
Inclusion & Diversity
Everyone is welcome at GLCH. We are committed to including all people, embracing diversity and eliminating all forms of discrimination.
We actively work to identify and address barriers, and partner with diverse communities to improve access and experiences for everyone.
