What will I pay when accessing allied health services?
Private Fee
Private clients (without funding or a concession) are charged a set hourly fee across all allied health services. For full details, please refer to our Allied Health Fee Schedule or speak to a member of our Customer Service team.
Funding options
If you are accessing services through any of the following programs, your appointment cost will be covered according to the relevant fee schedule:
- Support at Home
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
- WorkCover
- Transport Accident Commission (TAC)
Rebates and concessions
If you have access to the following, you may be eligible for a rebate to reduce your out-of-pocket costs:
- Private Health Insurance
- Medicare Benefits Scheme (with a GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan)
Please note: If you do not hold a valid Medicare card, you will be charged the full private fee.
Subsidised services
If you hold an eligible concession card – a Health Card Card (green) or Pension Concession Card (Blue) – you are eligible for government-subsidised allied health services. Please present your concession card at your first appointment to receive the subsidised rate.
To receive support through the Commonwealth Home Support Program and you’re 65 or older, or 50 and older if you’re Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, you’ll need to be registered and assessed with My Aged Care and have a valid concession card.
Our service has limited government-subsidised services available. This may mean there are wait times to access services. If your care needs change or you would like to be seen sooner as a private fee-paying client, please speak to one of our team members.
Other eligibility for subsidised services
As a community health organisation, we prioritise access for individuals and families with the greatest risk of poor health outcomes or who face barriers to care. You may be eligible for subsidised care if you identify with any of the following:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
- Refugee or seeking asylum
- Experiencing or at risk of homelessness
- Child in care, or linked with Child Protection or The Orange Door
Post-hospital care
If you’ve recently been discharged as a public hospital patient, you may be eligible for fully funded Post Acute Care for up to six weeks following your discharge.
Experiencing financial hardship?
We assess each case based on individual care needs, financial circumstances and access to Centrelink or income support.
